Currently I am running 12 inch wheels and Yokohama A048 Tyres. The suspension set up has standard donuts on the front, negative camber bottom arms and spax shocks. The rear is protech rear coilovers 125lb spings and alloy rear arms.

the set up I am focusing on will be for hillclimbs and sprints but also 3000 road miles, so cannot be totally competition focused. Ride quality is already on the edge of tolerable!

I would like to reduce body roll by fitting minispares red dot suspension cones as it does roll when provoked hard. I am also considering fitting some force racing 7x10's with yokohama A032's. Will this actually equate to faster cornering compared to the current set up, as I believe the 12 inch A048 Is a superior tyre, as it deflects much less in the sidewall and the tread block seem more stable.

The other option is to fit 13's and 175 50 13 A048's and leave the suspension as it is, but one consideration, is that people say 13's break away quicker then 10's. Is this also the case with 12's compared to 13's or is there not much difference between 12's and 13's.

Or finally fit 13's, red dot cones and invest in a cushion.

my 2p worth..

i found 13x6 better than 13x7s no other changes ( even same tires)
13x7s gave me loads of under steer 13x6s seemed to give less but both seemed to loose grip unpredictably ( a539s so not awesome tyres )

red dot cones do reduce body roll but are rather hard for the road about as hard as i would like to go

10x6 wellers much much better than both (a008s) with alot of -ve camber though and red dot cones
gave a very predictable slide rather than a loss of grip

In terms of the wheels, could you run two sets of wheels, as in road wheels and comp wheels on slicks? As it would only take a few minutes to switch between the two sets.
