Other than the k1100 bmw bike heads. Has there been any other cylinder head conversions from other engines? |

There have been other attempts, but non as successful, well documented and value for money as the K head.

I've noticed that the in thing is the K head conversion but the price reflects it as they seem to go up every time I look.

The thing with the leyland OHC head was that it was still not a cross flow design. Makes you wonder what the point was, and probibly the reason they never put it into production.

The Leyland OHC non-crossflow head was a genuine marvel, despite it looking wrong on paper.

Atm im not after either as ive just spent 150quid on a 1300 metro head having it freshed up. BuT I do have a spare bottom end that I could play with when ive had me moneys worth out the setup I have. Something in between standard and k100 would be better suited to a every day car that on occasion can go absolutely bat shit crazy when needed. |

I would look at the SC 7-port then. Depending on your budget.

the SC 7 port is about the only conversion that is vertually bolt on, anything else will need a significant amount of engineering to fit...

£150 won't get you running with any of those above mentioned though On 26th Oct, 2004 TurboDave16v said:
