Hi guys (and gals), hopefully a simple question for you all.

I have both a genuine set of brand new Ripspeed Hi-Los, and the new ish ally trumpet style cones. Which would you use?

I'd use the genuine ones, they supposedly support the cone better or something. I've had instances where I've had to modify budget trumpets because they didn't fit in the cone at all :/

Genuine anything all the way.

I Interrogated someone at minispares on the phone yesterday because the idler bearings that turned up were not branded Torrington.

I've not fitted the rubber cones yet Carl, but the newer ally ones seem to fit the cone fine?
I think I'll try the genuine ones then. Cheers all :)

Torrington is now branded Koyo mole.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

That's what was concluded, but didn't want to take the chance.

I did a bit of googling when Koyo bearings arrived for me, also asked our gert's brother who works for Koyo

Also I believe that NSK/RHP have moved the manufacture of the double roller & single roller gearbox bearings to Germany.
