I put mine in the vice ,around the drive square/socket point .then hang a 25 pound weight on it 2ft from the socket ,and then wind it up till it clicked as I apply the weight ,then read off the scale . if its 'off' I just mark it as 50 lbs/ft and work from there . , Medusa + injection = too much torque for the dyno ..https://youtu.be/qg5o0_tJxYM |

Why not take it into your local LAD Simon, the REME have calibrated torque meters attached to the wall. will take you about 3 seconds to see how far out it is. BHP sells engines, but Torque wins races! |

Im calibration rep, and you can calibrate them in house. Or if your willing to wait, they could probably send it off to DSG to be calibrated. |

Is it A-Series only? I think it should be... So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'... On 26th Oct, 2004 Tom Fenton said:

It's a snap on 5ftlbs to 75flbs one I got of ebay, so I want to make sure it's spot on, as I am sick of over doing bolts lol.

Because of the nature of the place I work, all torque wrenches have to be booked out of the tool-stores, pre-set at the specified torque and locked off, and then returned for calibration checking after the job has been completed.
Metric is for people who can't do fractions. |
