I apologise if this question has been asked a few times. I have done a search but nothing really answered my questions.

I am using omex 200 ecu, kad toothed crank damper pulley and an accuspark digital timing light.

I have marked the pulley inline with the zero mark on the timing case when piston number 1 (closest to rad) is at tdc.

My problem is that i cannot get the marks to align when the engine is cranking (fuel pump off and plugs removed and earthed in their leads). I have set the gun on the advance setting to zero as per instructions. If i increase this value with the engine spinning over nothing changes until i have a reading of about 10 on the timing gun. Then all it does is move the mark on the pulley further back away from the zero mark of tdc.

Is there something im missing and/or have done wrong?
