Righty, I'm basically looking for a circuit design for my shifter, im hoping its something maplins would do as a kit, but not 100% certain what to search for?

What I want it to do is give a fixed pulse 12v signal, no matter how long the trigger signal is, that I can adjust the outgoing pulse width on. Once set it won't need adjusting, so a variable resistor would be fine mounted to the board. It will be triggered by a switch on my shifter (also 12v).

The second function would be for when a second input signal (12v) is given the outgoing pulse width is then halved (for neutral). The trigger again being on the shifter.

The outgoing signal would need to be able to drive a 12v solenoid, 4w 29ma.

Any help would be appreciated!

Cheers
Matt

just a quick thought on this, and as it is quick it might not be well thought through.

What about looking at the trigger mechanism of modern paintball markers? These now have an electronic trigger and pnuematic actuators.

Just a thought.

Is it A-Series only? I think it should be...
So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...
