Australia oi oi oi!

hey lads.

Im confused I just replaced the cover with the Dsn one & I'm putting it back together with the same cam gears & chain/

How do i check the cam shaft end float using this cover, engine is in the car.

I can't really get a feeler gauge behind the cam gear.

I can't seem to see or tell what or where the feeler gauges are hitting, behind the cam gear, with the Retro sport timing cover back plate.

HELP? using same cam gears as before & cam plate. so would it be the same end float still?

Is it A-Series only? I think it should be...
So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

Carnforth, Lancs

The cam end float shouldn't be affected as it is set by the size of the shoulder on the sprocket sitting against the cam. However alignment between the two sprockets probably will be.
