Does anyone know what inlet wfn 1047 is? Has a second cast number rmi81

It has 2 down pipes and inlet peace is only attached in the midle. Has a Leyland stamp on it vacuum brake conection on top. Is it from a 1000 or 1275 engine? Anny good as oldschool performance part?

you can do anything if you set your mind to it...

just from the description it sounds like the "none performance" 1300 metro manifold

Looks like a standard Metro or Ital 1.3 combined inlet and exhaust manifold

Yes I did - the A35 ran and ITAL manifold like that when it was N/A and I still have it.

Its not so bad because with the right pipes you have an effective LCB.

The exhaust part of this manifold is kinda worth getting.

I sold one once ...

yeah had a bit of a thought like that. just cut the inlet and get a aluminum one on it to avoid heat transfer. but then hey... what is a manifold costing these days.

The exhaust manifold is actually rather a nice bit of kit.

Flows very well (as pretty much all Leyland exhaust manifolds do) withe gains of an LCB, but the extra advantage of be massively quieter than a tubular LCB and easier to live with as you don't have to dismantle it to remove it.

Metric is for people who can't do fractions.

hi. i was looking around the shed for engine parts to mach the 1100 engine that i would fit into the mk1 traveler. al original inlets that i have are for su 4 carbs. now i dont like su so much so would like to mount a hif 38 to it. the only original inlet i have is this one.

would it mach the 1100 or would it be overkill? and if yes what exhaust am i looking for? i would weld a original exhaust to it to give it the standard look and to make as quit as possible ( the wife demands it)

Works fine on an 1100 with an HIF38 - you may find that you have bulkhead clearance issues though.

I'm sure it could be adapted to use the two tubes and re-direct them to a turbocharger.

Okey. So have asked around. Now i got some things offered either i use the twin inlet and weld an original exhaust to it or i use a single inlet where i can put a standard exhaust to without welding. How ever the twin fits my 1100 head the single one commes from a 1300 so not sure...

What would be the best option?

hm think i said that wrong

so i got offered a matching downpipe for the inlet here above. i would or use this downpipe and weld an original exhaust on to that downpipe or i also have found a inlet that has a single downpipe but that one came from a 1300 while the exhaust i have is one from a 998... so what would be the best thing to go for?

Probably the metro item, it's closer in design to an lcb etc
