Looking for a favour please. I'm in talks with someone who is supplying me with my megajolt setup and they have requested the measurement of the crank sensor wire... This is what I need....

"Basically all I need to check is the length the crank sensor wire needs to be. As the edis and coil pack will be in the bulkhead as is the fusebox they are all std length.

Basically measure from the wiper motor along your desired route (follow the standard loom) to where the crank pulley is.

I always add about 50mm on all the lengths to allow slack so the loom isn't tight anywhere."

Can anyone with a clubbie front measure this for me as my mini is 50 miles away from me right now and will be til next week? Pleeeaaaasssssseeeee!!!

depends on how you want to route the wire,
from the fusebox location along the bulkhead down the inner wing between the rad mount?

or is the megajolt etc. going to be mounted behind the bulkhead where a glovebox is on the late minis?

really better off doing it yourself

I know... MJ will be in glovebox yes.. Just a rough measurement from wiper motor location down to crank pulley, taking in to account dressing around corners/bends (just not a straight line down lol).

I mean it doesn't have to be exact, just a figure I can give him. Any modifications thereafter I can do myself.

I know it's a bit of a gamble as we'd all probably choose different routes but I'd imagine it wouldn't be a million miles in the difference...

Anyhow, any help appreciated.

Just get them to make it far to long. If they send the plug with it you can cut the wiring and then fit it.

Had a quick measure of mine (and got wet for my troubles). I would allow 120cm if you are going down the passenger side inner wing or 250cm for the drivers side.
