few prob not sure if any of them are linked and just wanted peoples thoughts what it is i've got oil coming out the top on the rocker cover and i was getting smoke coming out the back but i turned the car off and it cleared up and the dump valve is just pissing air out and if you revs the tits off it suddenly realses does that been the diaframs fucked?

you mean oil comming out of the top of the rocker cover???.is this leaking on the gasket or ...
is the filler cap not sealing????

the other qestion relates to the dump valve

seems to me you have a sticking diaphram

Sorry out the cap yes but there is a bit over max of oil in the engine is that the corse or like you say the seal gone on the cap? tell you one thing that diaphram dump valve is getting chucked over the hedge i've had two now and i've done no more than 5 miles! and when you dump valve dumps is it ment to dump a high pressure then slow decrease to nothing cos on most cars its just one quick dump?

a little oil over fill is nothing to worry about.

the cause is the cap seal usually if its one from the MG range

its possible you may have ring blow by causing oil to be thrown out of the cap!

but...i would replace the cap or seal!

i use a baily motorsport dumpvalve and it works fine!

but some people have had problems with them with sticking ?
they have changed the seals to viton and no further problems was had i believe!

my bailey stuck once, so i washed it in a fairy liquid solution and havent had any more probs with it

just got a single piston never looked back
