evening chaps. i was offered 6k on my mini. i thought the whole point of this was if it got stolen or declared a write off i would recieve this sum to get a similar mini. had a respray couple of new panels looks pukka. mini 30 seats, new interior. group2 arches, engine as follows

I'm not sure how they work out the value, unless they just look at what the current market is like and only see the bargains because I don't think I could get a similar car for what mines 'agreed' at. I will be upping mine next year, not to the amount I've spent because you rarely get back what you pay in. They don't die, they just get faster! |

if you look around you can get like for like replacement policy's you pay a tad more but i think its worth it Done now needs redoing lol |

really. like for like that sounds a bit more like it. i only wanted 7.5k. not the market value of the car. just what it would cost to build again. then again these companys are all fleeces |

i thought of doing that steve. and i thought i was reasonable. they suggested i arrange for an assesor from the auto-mobile enginners thingy. at my expense of course, to come have a look. but i caught em out anyway. they sent me a letter saying we haven't recieved my agrredd valuation form (i.e lost) next day in another letter "we've agreed 6k" thats impossible because you never had the dam form to start with. oh well still on going. |

What company are you going through? Surely the fact you usually have to pay extra for agreed value would cover some know it all to come have a look! They don't die, they just get faster! |

my last valuation was something like £15 9 photos and full description of work thats going to be carried out Done now needs redoing lol |

be carefull with insurance companys .. ....as they are like blackclocks soon as the light come on they scuttle for the skirting boards.
