I'm not sure how they work out the value, unless they just look at what the current market is like and only see the bargains because I don't think I could get a similar car for what mines 'agreed' at. I will be upping mine next year, not to the amount I've spent because you rarely get back what you pay in.

really. like for like that sounds a bit more like it. i only wanted 7.5k. not the market value of the car. just what it would cost to build again. then again these companys are all fleeces

i thought of doing that steve. and i thought i was reasonable. they suggested i arrange for an assesor from the auto-mobile enginners thingy. at my expense of course, to come have a look. but i caught em out anyway. they sent me a letter saying we haven't recieved my agrredd valuation form (i.e lost) next day in another letter "we've agreed 6k" thats impossible because you never had the dam form to start with. oh well still on going.

What company are you going through? Surely the fact you usually have to pay extra for agreed value would cover some know it all to come have a look!

be carefull with insurance companys .. ....as they are like blackclocks soon as the light come on they scuttle for the skirting boards.

one brings to mind sureterm, they tried the same SCAM with me years ago as the company you are dealing with now!
