I have a metro turbo block. I have one take off from the RAD hose for the heater, but do not have a second source available.

I have a take off on the bottom left of my cylinder head as I look down on, which is a possible option. But the middle hole is blanked off, so would need drilling out to fix a valle so I can connect my second heater hose. Id like some advice on an alternative option or on how to drill out this hole without crap falling into the cooling system.

New to mechanics, but quite practicle, so just need the tricks and tips and what is best to do.
BTW I intend to buy a T7 heater since I have a bulk head box which means the orignal heater sticks out too much after the conversion.

Thanks Chaps

You could use that hole or a thermostat sandwich plate if that's a better option for you.

It's how the metro heater was plumbed. just make sure you have your stat on top of the sandwhich plate.

I would be inclined to drill the hole at piston 4, put a strong vacuum right by the drill bit as your drilling, then just suck it out the head once through, you could fashion a small vacuum hose gaffa taped to the vacuum so you can poke it right into the head.

I've always thought having the heater feeding back In to the head at number 4 helped circulate the water in the head.
