Ordering final bits for turbo build and thinking of fitting solid engine mounts?

Subby is mounted solid and have both additional gearbox steadies fitted but unsure of mounting the engine solid!!!!!!! Already had the quick release ones and not a fan, so whats your thoughts.

Mini is just for fun and MITP, so not worried about rattles.

What the mind can conceive the mini can achieve
MITP 2012 17.01 seconds 1/4 mile against "The Don"
MITP 2013 16.83 seconds 1/4 mile

If you have any fillings don't bother. If just get standard mounts (gen if poss) and give the ones with captive nuts a miss!!

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

Solid engine mounts will ruin everything on a road car.

I had captive ones before, they were so much better than pissing around underneath the car, I'm not sure if they were bought captive or had nuts welded on but they fit beautifully!

I have them on mine as I kept tearing the rubber ones in half. They make everything super noisy. Don't think I would want them on a road car. The engine is rock solid though!

Use quick release mounts on mine with alloy engine steady mounts. Also have this setup on my daily. Increases noise a bit but wouldnt change it

have used those quick pin ones with the lower box mounts n top std ones
had no problems with the 50-60 hp dont expect to have any problems with the turbo engine ether just fitting new "firm" polly bushes when it all goes back in

didn't notice any change in noise from std to the quick pin ones with the extra lower steady's using rubber all round

i was concerned at how soft the quick pin ones where but since the engine sits in a "taper" i dont think it can go anywhere except sit lower perhaps due to crushing slightly?

Already had the quick release ones and found it a nightmare to remove one pin when taking the engine out after 2 years, ended to just unbolting it as per a standard mount.
