My boss went broke so tought i give it a go as teacher ( got my diploma when i was home from spinal surgery. ..) now i am here one week and a student just walk et to me saying hey newby you don't get to punish me and while he says that he waves a knife in front of my face..... that boy was 15 years old! ( grapped his wrist twisted it to his back )

but what is it with those kids these days? Principal told me not to tell them what car you drive or where you live ever!! Is the uk yought as bad?

unfortunately a sign of the times. My brother worked in a special unit for a few years dealing with kids who had been expelled from school. His opinion was that it was not necessarily the kids themselves but the lack of moral upbringing and discipline in the home to start with

I'm only 23, but I've noticed that the kids these days are just little shits with no respect for anybody or anyones property. Obviously this isn't all of them, but I feel its a good 60%

I remember being on holiday when i was 21 and had some young kid giving me greif from across the pool one night.

The next night i happened to bump in to him again but on the same side of the pool, so he went for a swim, later that night i was approched by a large guy saying "did i thorw his son in the pool" to which i replied "YEP" and told him about the incident.

Lets just say he was very appologetic and would be having words with his son.

I have worked the last 5 years in a school (not as a teacher) and there is no way I would challenge any of the little animals.

The parents are entirely responsible as already stated and I have admiration for those teachers who daily face them.

Yeah. He is not allowed a knife at all but no way of checking that right. I am the one who has yo write a rapport explaining why i handeld so hard to take the knife ( his wrist is a bit bleu and painful of me twisting it... ) i know i will not be on a bad record for it but still... he got 2 hours of detention and a contract with the pms not ever to bring knifes or other weapons to school...... ( schoolcomitie does not want a complaint of his parents... would make them look bad) tssss great first teaching assignment. ..

Wow sounds pretty scary! The way I see it decent parents that work for a living can't afford childcare so don't have kids, pond scum have a baby so they can claim benefits. Since the child is nothing more than a source of income then it doesn't get the upbringing.

Scary... mhm not that much. .. the kid is 14 years old... ( hens his protection from getting punished. .. poor kid is a minor) what scarres me is what will become of him in a few years...

just found out in a small town near me last night the police were rounding all the young ferrall hoodies up and placing them in the cells .......... its getting worse with all these scrotes,

cause no moral upbringing, no one has a job and drugs!

the problem is they are a gouverment funded school. the law says that every minor has the right on education ... no prived funded school will want him so they have to take him. ( cant not refuse by law) the most they can do is expel him for 1 month. now this said i will refuse him in to my class room and give him allot of tasks in the studie room. ( stupid yes but that is the most i can do since i made the "mistake" of defending myself to a minor student while i should have stepped back and ask him to leave the class room towards the principal office...

We wouldn't dare pull a stunt like this at school through fear of the consequences. There doesn't seem to be any consequences anymore, so how do you keep them from running riot?

I do have a trick... if one or 2 make a riot in my class they are allowed to leave when the bell rings... the rest of the class needs to stay for 5 to 10 minutes depending the size of tje riot. .. believe me... they take care of the problem afterwards. .. However my methode is not a proved by the school comité but fuck that...

Im only young 22 i say Bring back the old ways if you do the wrong thing yo cop it!

heck my mother raised me well for a single mum if i did anything wrong i got what for and now i respect that she took that path rather than no no son you must not do that then 5 minuts later they do it again pfft you learn fast when you know there is a consequence for actions.. most of the time you only did something once
