What's a good book to help me build my turbo engine correctly? I know David vizard does a few books but it doesn't say they cover the A series turbo engine.
Any recommendations?

I'm not really sure if theres any tbh, but if you ask lots of questions on here you will always get good answers, don't worry about looking a wally if its a simple thing, best to ask than find out its wrong afterwards.

Cheers for the reply.
Was still wanting like a step by step kind of thing with sizes, torque setting etc. think the vizard book cover that kind of thing? Don't want to buy the book if it's no use.

The standard haynes manual will get you 99% of the way there then either ask or use the search button *smiley*

What the mind can conceive the mini can achieve
MITP 2012 17.01 seconds 1/4 mile against "The Don"
MITP 2013 16.83 seconds 1/4 mile

If its just torque settings and stuff just use a Haynes as lee suggests, if anything differs it will be on the product instructions

Yeah you'd need the workshop manual really.

I have the Metro Haynes manual as it seems more comprehensive for engine & gearbox rebuild.

I also have the Vizard book which I just read for interests sake.

A more theoretic / generic approach can be found here:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Maximum-Boost-Turb...s=Maximum+boost

A very good read if your interested in matching compressor maps to engine/HP flow, intercooler sizing, CR calcs, fuel flow / pump capicty etc.
