I've plumbed in my boost gauge, will it work on just a quick rev or not until it's under load of driving thanks

its basically a vaccum gauge, when you rev the engine it should flip into neg boost if this is on your gauge. you wont see 'boost', apart from maybe a tiny spike into it and back when revving hard, until the engine is under load, ie driving, and the engine is actually making boost. dan

take it off and suck/blow down a pipe it should move a fraction (or use a foot pump) if it doesn't move then it's broken. If it does move then your plumbing in the car is wrong.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

Ok it works when I suck and blow!!! *wink*

I've a pipe off the dump valve with a T piece to the gauge and inlet manifold

Either blocked or something else wrong then :) start at the beginning.

Gauge under bonnet connected to manifold nipple etc.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

You need to be out on the road driving. You won't make boost sitting on the drive revving it.
