i have been making a few changes to the turbo mini over the winter. nothing massive, just a new intercooler, plenum, intercooler hosing and a few other bits and pieces

I received my new 'nic' plenum this morning, a very nicely made item it is, thanks to Nic and Hywel, gents.

So I removed my maestro plenum and found this in the carb throat.....

It looks like some of the string from the outside of the air intake hose. but how could this have come from the outside of the hose, to the inside, through the compressor, ic hosing, intercooler and plenum. I looked a bit more inside the carb and found some nuts!

some little bastard has decided to make a home inside my carb/plenum!

Haha, Imagine the damage that could have done if it found it's way into the engine, could have ended up with roasted nut shavings flying out the exhaust haha

ring problems are down to wear or abuse but although annoying it isn't a show stopper

well I have had the intercooler off whilst I mod and fit the new one. did a compression test a couple of weeks ago so not sure if he was there then. need to tape it all up really to stop him getting in there again.
