Plumb the gauge further away from the engine if possible, preferably before the carb. Tee off the plenum if possible. On 26th Jan, 2012 Tom Fenton said:

If it's a mechanical boost gauge, internals will likely be brass.
9.85 @ 145mph

You should be reading boost pressure at the manifold as this is what the engine 'sees'. In the 13's at last!.. Just |

Ive had fuel too but in the vacuum to the dump valve.. ive now faced it down so not to perish the diaphragm, but now youve worried me if it can knacker guage and megajolt??? On 24th Oct, 2015 jonny f said:

It's mechanical, but a stepper motor electronic jobby I think. Only a cheap one though, about £30.

I'm sure I read about a one way valve type thing to stop the fuel, just can't find anything on it now. Map sensors should always be mounted higher than any fuel, and always with the hose inlet pointing down. That way no fuel should ever reach the sensor. 9.85 @ 145mph
