Nice collection, but the rust on the M300 and Vice tell a story of condensation problems IMO.

It's still overpriced however - even though the M300 (my favourite lathe of all btw) has a DRO and a Rishton mill attachment (not your normal Taiwan junk) and both have probably less than 100hrs use going off how often these field workshops are used...

Yep - worked/lived in one of these for quite a few years, in a previous life!
They do suffer from condensation - they had a heater/fan fitted at the front and rear, but these really need to be on permanently to have an effect. But I can vouch that they get bloody cold over night! (And wrapping yourself around the vice for a nights kip is an art form, if you want a decent nights kip)
All the tools used to be wrapped in grease paper to help prevent the rust getting ahold, but I'm sure some of the stuff that used to go off for calibration each year would be written off because of the conditions of storage even though they may not have been used!
I've got a small surface plate that was issued with this workshop, in my garage. As for price, if you google MOD sales you'll occasionally find them coming up for sale on there.
The lathe has a milling attachment, not that I every used it, but I do remember the pillar drill being a pretty sturdy bit of kit.
I'd love to have the money/room to have one of these in the back garden!
