Hey guys

I have many questions that I cant find answers for, maybe someone can help.

Is there a light weight alternative for a:

E85 capable fuel pump (1100g currently)
Brake bais controller (439g currently)
Steering rack (4330g currently)

I will be swapping my metal sliding window door latches for plastic also, I assume they are lighter.

Would you use the MINISPORT alloy drive flanges for motorsport or is it not worth the risk?

Last of all where is the best place to buy Titanium nuts and bolts from online?

Kind regards, Mini Racer

Can you run an adjustable bias valve. They weigh alot less than the controller. Im running a small bias valve on the rear system on mine

Sorry I should have worded that better. I have a stock one that's been modified to be adjustable, and is mounted in the original place, it just could be a little lighter.

I'd use KAD or Force Racing products before I looked at Minisport

Hey jimster, thanks for the reply. I think mini sport are the only guys that make alloy flanges for 7.5" s style brakes. I already have kad rear arms etc.

The previous question regarding bias valves was is there a lighter alternative to what I already have. I don't have to be able to reach it from the seated position.

Thanks again.

The bias valve can be placed where your current boat anchor is.

Speak to Ralph at www.componentengineering.co.uk about lightweight parts..

He has done loads of work on his Metro to reduce weight with many custom alloy and titanium parts

One of note is that heavy cast slave cylinder. ( only mention because of the photo posted above ) He actually made his own from aluminium !

Re the pump.

What pump are you using ? high pressure, low pressure, carb, efi ? internal, external ?

The pump is a low pressure one from the holley range,(red) with a 1-4psi adjustable reg.

Force do a alloy slave that I am eying off, might get one when I finally order the mambers, they should save me a bit over 4kg.

Thanks for the link ill get in contact with him!
