£5k to the right person. although the shell is original, the purists will be put off by the turbo conversion I think

I would have said somewhere in the region of 6K.

Did you take it to Castle Combe in 2012? If it was you a thought then it was a good clean car!

I think £5-£6k is reasonable for an insurance valuation however I wouldn't expect anyone buying to pay that amount personally.

We have seen a number of rather nice (although not poo-brown) turbo-minis listed for similar money and they just sit there unsold, show up on ebay and don't sell then unfotunateley ultimately end up getting broken for bits as they are worth more that way.

I looked at buying this car before you did and if you paid something like the advertised price you got a good deal. So add on what you've spent on it and put a bit extra on there for your time and you should be in the right ball park for a "sale price".

All in my opinion obviously *smiley*

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

Totally agree with you. I have a VW camper that people say is worth 10k plus but cant get anyone to view it priced at 8k

It wont be until next year until i sell but want to have a rough idea on what people would pay?

Like you said put it up for sale and it will sit for months

It sucks that you would get so much more for breaking it than selling it whole, I don't really know what turbos go complete because I don't look to buy. But tbh if I had 5k spare I'd part with it for it, I mean, could you buy a good shell and do all of this for less than that? Did you build it just to sell?

I struggled to get my mini valued at £4500, everyone knows how much it costs to build an engine let alone the whole car! When i brought mine it had been up for a week or so, lots of people wanted it but obviously not a lot of people have that kinda money at hand.. and also it only appeals to a certain type

No i bought it back in 2009 and used it for a while but i like to rebuild my minis to how i want them to look also its needed a little spruce up *wink*

I will use it this year but i have a pick up and van i want to restore so clean dry room will be an issue so it will have to go

Ah I see, yeah you've done a nice job all I would do visually is change the wheels and lights then it would be to my taste *tongue*. I'm sure if you take it to a few shows people will love it and hopefully it will be easier to sell, you never know the market might pick up by the time you come to sell. If you did really struggle to sell you could pull the engine out, split that then sell the car with just a standard whatever in it but please don't do that because it would tempt me even more to buy it!
