Although I'm not planning on using it without a strip down or have no plan on using it in the near future ( or using it at all) it would be nice to now if it is usable. you can do anything if you set your mind to it...

Depending on your perspective, that is either scrap, or in need of machining and the addition of a spacer.

Idler gear yes. My mistake. Its an A + indeed the midle one.the needle rollers are missing since they broke. you can do anything if you set your mind to it...

If it's A plus it should have had the larger needle roller bearing but there was a lot of mix/match at the change over.

i have no real use for it. ill use it as a mokupp engine for now so i dont have to assemble one of the others. futher than that... am happy to know its repairable. probebly end up selling it though. to store it best to drain the oil? you can do anything if you set your mind to it...

Yes out if interest would it be ok with a roller bearing idler gear? Had a similar issue on a friends car and he just fitted Timken gear. Class C 3rd Place Avon 2011 14.18 @101mph |
