just wondered if anyone is still making them heavy duty steering column drop brackets?

I bought one like last year and my friend is after one, if anyone's got one up for grabs let me know please :)

Low boosting for now.

This is FORD country, on a quiet day you can hear Vauxhalls rusting.

Any hints on getting the shear bolts holding the original bracket off?

I've had one of these for a while, a couple of times I've looked at swapping it in but
have given up after not being able to move the old bolts.

Smash them off, or try to unscrew them?

Cut a slot in it with a hacksaw then undo with a screwdriver. Usually they are not very tight. Alternatively drill the head off or grind off with a die grinder/dremel with a small carbide burr on it.

So far that hasn't got me anywhere, and I've tried it a fair bit.

It's a bugger to get at and I only have an angle grinder so I'll try the slot with a hacksaw
blade with more swearing to see how far I get.

Thanks guys,

Nial.
