hi guys im having an issue with the miss audi iv searched what seems to be all the audi forums and cant seem to find an answer but i know some of you guys have or have had them. right well if your driving along say in 3rd and put your foot to the floor the revs increase quickly but no physical acceleration ease off the pedal and revs drop speed increases. car has had a new cluch less than 6months no lights on dash or error codes in vagcom. any ideas as what to look into would be great im looking at the egr and boost hoses today. thanks Done now needs redoing lol |

Revs going up and speed not is 100% clutch related. Maybe a leaking seal contaminating the plate? If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

I'd tend to agree; if the revs are rising, without increase in road speed, its got to be a driveline issue. Are you getting any burning smells from it suggesting the clutch it slipping? |

Clutch, forget VAGCOM, get the spanners out instead.

I assume these have a hydraulic clutch operations; just wondering if this is failing to back off fully and hold a bit of pressure on the clutch? |

check the clutch pedal fully releases the master cylinder. this has caught me out on a customers car that had had a new engine fitted (by another garage) I dont know why anyone would want to adjust the pedal but i have seen it happen. turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)
