I am on the hunt for some tyres using on the strip with the tro this year.

i have been looking at the usual suspects Toyo R888's and Yoko A048's both in soft compound.

i have been looking at different tyres sizes 175/50r13 (yoko only) and 185/60r13's (yoko and Toyo).

has anyone has experience with either?

i have also seen the Kumho v70a track day tyres but they are 175/60r13 no idea about them or tread pattern. i know they come in soft compounds too.

cheers paul.

They run r888's and yokos but normally the bigger 185/60 tyre, the r888's are cheaper than the yokos though

If it helps i found it took a lot of heat for the kumhos to work there magic, certainly in the whole time i had them on my car i feel i only got the best out of them on two occations as the rest of the time i just wasnt hard enough on them. and my car was a heavyweight.
