Started collecting all my bits for a 998 turbo conversion and seen that a lambda sensor and gauge is needed for fuelling . Would this sensor and gauge be ok to give a good reading on my fueling. http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/281239791207?nav=SEARCH And for a gauge http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/221376264055?nav=SEARCH. All new to this so don't know what I need so any pointers would be very helpful.

Your much better off with a wideband gauge & sensor it's far more accurate than the narrowband.
The AEM one is good.

Either of those would be a complete waste of money.

Buy a wideband if you want to monitor mixtures.

Don't forget to include the sensor

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

That gauge just tells you whether the fueling is rich or lean, it won't tell you by how much it is rich or lean. For tuning purposes, the Wideband gauge and sensor is the most useful in car tuning tool you could own. The narrow band gauge you link to is more of a passenger distraction tool.

You won't find a gauge in any scrapyard vehicle. To be honest just save up and buy the proper thing. You were going to spend £50 on something useless, so save up another £100 and buy the proper kit.

Widebands are dirt cheap at £150, and superb value for money no matter what way you look at it.

Dont buy second hand, simply for the fact you have no clue what you're buying and a replacement sensor will be £60 anyway.

if you're really really screwed for money, these are probably the cheapest wideband offerings.
