It will only rev so far with that cam. The power band might drop off at at say 6k but it might rev up to 7k, but its pointless holding into that and revving for the sake of it |

Right that's cool, what about oil will that keep up? With the higher rpm? |

If your set on revving that high, you might want to look at a different cam and get the head sorted ( valves and ported)

I agree, the cam is not a revver. 7k is no problem for the standard bottom end. Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

Cam change it will be then any sort of suggestions and head work I am very tempted on 202 is a alright head but not got money for a 295

On most of the 998s we have built we have put on the 12G940. heads are cheaper and more available.

The mini of my little stepsister has the same setup with a compression of 12,5 on each cilinder and twin carb... must say its pretty fast for a 998.

Was going to use A+ press fit pistons in the engine so should be alright/
