Good evening Gents,

I have just got most of the machined parts back, and it's time.

So I have two types of cam-followers, the Isky type from minispares, and plain chilled ones form swiftune.

I was told that the Isky type ones were rather inferior, and would wear the camshaft prematurely, despite the oil hole, because they don't rotate as they should.

What are your opinions on this? and which should I use?

Also, the camshaft is the SW8 from swiftune, so should I use the same from the same company? though they probably don't actually make them.

Cheers,

Matt

Just run the swifty ones.

Hardly anything to choose between them but i remember reading in the vizard book that the oil hole design is to be avoided. The whole cam train is well lubricated with splash off the big ends and top end drainage anyway.

There's also no way they wouldn't spin, the cam lobes run off centre in relation to the followers.
