Any body weighed a complete roof lining and bars?

Also can any body recommend a lightweight GT(extra wide) style bucket seat. Currently considering the Cobra Imola GT pro fit in Kevlar/fibreglass. It weighs 7.1kg giving me 3.4kg saving over my steel framed Monico seat.

Are Kirkey seats really comfortable?

I'm currently planning some further weight reduction to my red Mini. I'm trying to save another 9kg to get me to the magical 550kg mark. I think this is really my limit, with normal subframes, steel doors and full roll cage.

Swansea boyo!

I've got a roof lining in the house if you want me to weigh it for you when I get home from work, I don't have any bars though :(

They don't die, they just get faster!

That would great! I'm just trying to work out if it's worth removing. Additional noise and vibration would be OK, but it may need paint to match the rest if the interior.

My scales read about 2.5kg but if that's right or not, who knows! Maybe someone else has already weighted it properly

There is no such thing as 'insignificant weight saving', it all adds up.

Don't forget, if you remove the head lining there's lots of metal to come out. About 40000 pages into my build thread is a picture of the material I removed (leaving some behind) on the scales.

Might be worth a look through this thread,

Life is always a matter of opinion and quite frankly, no ones opinion really matters.
