evening gents, another quick one -

I need to change the shoes on my turbo. there are lots of minifins on the market, can anyone recommend any particular ones? or are there any suppliers to avoid?

they mostly look like Chinese made etc, I guess by the same manufacturer!?

as long as they are steel lined, and have a built in spacer, anything else to watch out for? cheers, dan

I would just go for the superfins sold by minispares

Somewhere around Swindon

i bought the cheap set and they look good quality, there are two three types of cheap ones, non linered, rough casting with liner and smooth casting with liner the latter is what i bought

I have the minispares ones which seem to be pretty good quality. I do have 1 x original Super Minifin, unfortunately the second one is a little egg shaped!

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

Minispares told me they have more recalls with the. Gen ones they supply oppose to hardley any non Gen Chinese. Ones they sell, I have looked at both and they seem the same. ......... the price is half that of that of the. Gen Ones...... choice is yours ? What ever you chose spray them Matt black so thy give the heat up more efficiently

i have got some non genuine ones on the back of my metro and have been on there for a few years now, no issues with them. i think they were from minispares.

i have used loads of non genuine ones on various minis and not had a problem with them. i machined some down on my last mini to get them ultra light and used them on a daily driver and still had no trouble with them even though they were wafer thin!

based on my findings i would say the chinese ones are up to the job.
