Calling all VW people.

The mothers 2002 1.2 3cyl Polo has I suspect jumped it's timing chain (apparently common fault)

Obviously I need to change the guides chain and tensioner.

What I'm after is a workshop manual with torque settings etc to do the job.

Is there anyone out there with either a copy of the dealer manuals or auto data who can send me some pdf's?

Help gratefully received! My email is "my dot name" @blueyonder.co.uk

It's the 65kw engine which I believe to be 4 valves per cyl.

Cheers for any help.

await someone who has done it first hand to chime in, but from the description it appears only the cams are "dowel less" if thats the case, then you can get away with no tools and tip-exing everything. obviously you dont undo the cam pulley bolts.

if the crank pulley is floating then you need the tools no matter what. if there cheap enough may be worth investing regardless.

only instructions i have, but tbf looks pretty simple. joy of 3 cylidner engines is plenty of room to work.

turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)

Cheers Denis that's ideal. I'm going to get the timing tools as I think it has jumped teeth so want to make sure I get it right .
