Hi all

Looking into re boring my current 998 A+ block to maybe +80 or +100 having been advised by the local machine shop that the block could do with a rebore. I thought about +100 as its slightly more unusual however, having read vizards 'tuning the a series' he doesnt recommend boring beyond +60 due to bore flex. My question is whether anyone has any experience regarding this? and how reliable the engine would be regarding possible head gasket issues? My main aim is reliabilty as well as maybe a few extra hp.

Cheers
Ben

The 998 can handle massive overbores iirc +120thou pistons are available so +100 should be no problem.. the max of 60thou vizard speaks of c
COULD (long time since I read it ) be for the 1275 blocks but the rumours of bore flex have long since been disproven imo

Yes i moved to the darkside *happy*
