Seam welding before paint

hi guys

Apart from what the vizard book says, where else would you seam weld / strengthen the body shell? Or is it not that necessary if you have a 6 point bolt in cage.

also would door intrusion bars and a bar across the front legs (under dash rail) stiffen up the shell much more? or is it just adding more weight with not much benefit.
