well the vans seats are fobar your ass is basically on the floor

so was thinking i could get new rubber base/spring bits and re foam it then cover it with pre stiched seat covers or something?

on the other hand was thinking it be easier cheaper to get some aftermarket ones from another car or something? but then deal with mod plates etc..

id like to retain the factory look on the van, over in aus parts are somewhat hard to find or at least i cant find squat with out buying whole cars..
my clubby has two passenger seats in it as we couldn't find a drivers one not shagged out.
van is intended to be a Sunday "grandmas" car just a nice original ish cheep ish mini its still got a 1-25 carb on cast iron intake/exhaust with a tinny exhaust system runs well but kinder hot? halfway there sorting that out.. err back to seats

i did think of putting the clubbys seats over to van and get some nice ones for replacements a grate improvement although ripped from use

im assuming the van has the same seats as salon? couldn't see them produce at extra cost different ones after all van/ute where the cheep alternatives..

if I recall correctly, the van seats are fixed back as with a number of the mini models. The appearance and fittings are the same though. Have you spoken to a local trimmer? you may be surprised how much (or little) it could cost to get them to re-trim and refurbish your existing ones

managed 5 mins to look at this a bit and found the rubber bases to be in good shape probaly was new not to long ago

the seat frames well there kinder rotten a touch but still solid also they are a pair LH and RH so gues thats not so bad

the problem was the wire clip bits had straigetend out so re bent them in the hope they will hold probaly not as bending them weekes them see how long it holds up for

as for the actual seat cover well there aint any hahah just a cheep set of covers to hide the foam ba haha

o well my ass is off the floor for a while at least proper fix is in the pipe line tho...
