Hi,

not sure where to start.
well, first in theory i belong to the >>and other forced induction<< section. *happy*

I used to own two Minis. The first was a stage1ed 998 of which i loved the characteristics but missed the power. After that i had a Mini with an MG Metro engine that produced the right amount of power (just below 80bhp) but i did not like its unwillingness to higher revs.

Since i returned to the UK at the beginning of this year i want a Mini again and am currently developing a theory project, meaning i do not have the Mini yet but it's only a question of time. Anyway i believe you cannot start too early with getting the knowledge and understanding right.
So that's why i am here, because here are the people in the know from what i read so far. *smiley*

My goal is to create a reliable Mini with the driveability of the 998 and the power in the region of what my old 1275 had (75-85bhp).
I love superchargers and turbo is not an option (this is simply personal and i prefer if we are not having discussions on how stupid my idea might be - in the end it is not religion, is it? *smiley*).

I have collected some information across the web already but am obviously still learning and hope that i have enough basic knowledge about my plans to now start going into refinement with your help...

I will soon open an extra thread describing my plans and ideas and point out the cornerstones as well as putting down the questions.
For me that should as well work like a notepad in one point instead of spread all over the internet. What would be a more appropriate location than this forum?
