I remember being offered one of these years ago for £3k and turning it down. While its not the best mini, it will no doubt remain collectable and therefore high value as a result

Wow. I never really realised how "cheap" the ERA dash in front of the driver actually looked up close. A couple of VDO gauges and some cheap and cheerful idicator bulbs found on Fodens and MF's

be interesting to see, beauty is in the eye of the beholder they say...... they were very toned down from where ERA wanted to put them, warranty constraints and dealership ability to service and repair them and type approval issues stopped them being the car ERA wanted to make, but still the fastest production mini ever build.

http://www.eraturbo.co.uk/eraturbo/history/erametrover.htm covers some of it, some other interesting things they found out along the way. makes a good read. They also had a straight cut box in one of the prototypes or mules, they had very nice seats and steering wheel but had to be dropped to avoid having to crash test and type approve it as a separate model.
