I've got a wheel bearing issue on the front end. Just wondering what people think are the better one to but, the tapered or the old school race type?

I'd probably say tapered for that job, keeps everything nice and tight.

Worn hub seats.

Take a thou or two off the spacer, don't go mad! Be carefull not to take too much off and ensure its perfectly square!

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

The bit of the flange that sits against the bearing can wear and the not torque up properly.

as mentioned above, the drive flange can screw up causing play and I've also seen corresponding damage on the CV joint as well. Seats can also 'stretch'.
