What is the standard metro turbo casting number supposed to be. I searched this forum and google but can't find any information.

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

Id guess the same as any other 1275 a+ gearbox *smiley* they all use the same casing with just varying final drives.

The one to use is the DAM58## or maybe DAM##58 - I forget!
This had the strengthed idler support - but I don't know of any other major differences between this and the 998 A+ tranny casing.

Thanks for that I have three of the DAM 58 casings two of which are definite turbo boxes but not sure about the third but I was hoping that was the standard number for a turbo box.
Oh well spose I will have to look at the diff ratio to get more of an idea.

Sorry my mistake I have 5626 on mine not 58. I am really hoping that this engine/gearbox is turbo as it was cheap but on closer inspection it seems that the head is not turbo or at least the valves aren't. Oh well can't win them all!

I've got a 998 A+ box (with 3.1 diff) with the 5626 number here - these were generally just for the 1275 A+
