I know on the normal pre verto the mod is 9 straps and take .030" off the backplate lugs*wink*

But on a steel one do you still have too*oh well*

Any idea what backplate face to top of lug should be*oh well*

I only use six straps in total personally. If you use nine, just measure the tickness of one strap and take that off the backplate lug height.
For a grey, you should already be taking it down to around 23.5mm - so assuming the straps are 0.8mm thick, you'll want 22.7mm backplate lug height. You might find you need to drill the 3/8 diameter hole out a little deeper or your bolts will bottom out on this rather than clamping up the clutch cover and straps.

ps - I just guessed at 0.8mm - measure one to be sure!
