Yay, first time out the garage under its own steam😁 Lots to do still but a milestone nevertheless. Next job is to sort out the electrics followed by fitting the uprated front brakes and 10" wheels.

Just converted my drum braked mini to disks on the front. Swapped to disk hubs and some 7.9 4 pots I got from John on here

Why do the little jobs seem to take the longest?

Just had to remove the intercooler and fit clips on all the hoses - took ages and just did not want to go back together - Grrr. Didn't help that I'd not left enough room for the dump valve.

Other news:

Trial fit of the 10" wheels. Arches is a bit of an issue. Grp 2s are a bit narrow and most other options don't suit the styling. Decided to go with Grp 2s for now.

A bit more progress.

4 pots and S discs fitted:

Then could fit the 10" inch wheels on the front:

Today I re-jigged the throttle linkage as it was fouling the bonnet:

Next job is to drop the coil mount as the coils are also fouling the bonnet.

At least I can now drive it in and out the barn to work in good light *happy*

Good stuff. Love the trademark “Sturgess” underbonnet styling.

Snail pace here with my Mini. I've been busy with the Midget, finishing off the bodywork and other things.

Finally got around to fitting the bumpers and arches.

Happy with how they fit, they just cover the tread.

Getting very close to completion, not much else to do to get it on the road :)

Slow progress is better then no progress! I seem to do the work I've built up with new parts etc, then it comes to a halt as I need to buy more new stuff and the cost mounts.

Nice to see progress, well done
I keep struggling to get on with my van
