With all this e-bay hacking recently has anyone noticed an increase in scammers ?

I am looking to get a fairly cheep camper van for weekends away and have found the same scamming C**T on numinous adds . He is also on gumtree too . Not sure if its due to the recent security breech or if he just prays on people buying camper vans lol .

Basically he only has an e-mail address, advises he will deliver for free if you pay full price ( which is a good deal ) and then asks for your PayPal address so he can send an invoice . All sound a bit odd but ok it's PayPal so I'm protected right ? Wrong , not for vehicles . So I told him where to go .

So after finding another van on gumtree that was ok but by no means a bargin I asked a few questions and received the same e-mail ! FFS. !!

So I de idea to open a false email account and see where it went , basically he sen me a false PayPal invoice, the best bit was it has his bank details on it . I have copied out the extract that made me laugh about paying direct by bank transfer *surprised* .

In all fairness he had worked hard to make it look like it was from PayPal

Just wanted to rant and make this aware to everyone
*happy**happy**happy*

Are his bank details genuine ?

Can you set up a lot of direct debits etc or publish his details everywhere ?

That would be worth it if it weren't for the fact that Stevie touches on. He will then have your bank details and be able to set up all sorts of direct debits without you knowing. It is a problem most people are not aware of.

Is it A-Series only? I think it should be...
So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...
