has anyone else seen the so called 'spark amplifiers' on the market?

these claim to increase spark, mixture burn etc etc

has anyone tried one of these on a turbo a series?

a possible help or a gimmick?

cheers, dan

My sister is so fit I won't show anyone her picture

On a head with an open chamber shape & poor burn characteristics they're supposed to be good. If the head had a more efficient chamber shape (ala stock A-Series) the benefits are reduced.

Not necessarily. As with most things on the market there are good and bad systems. A decent system will increase spark temperature, current and energy. As I said above if the engine already has efficient burn characteristics then a standard ignition delivering a decent spark is fine. The gains are seen on less efficient designs.

A more important question is what ignition system are you currently using ?

And is there an actual problem with it ?

currently using mj.

no major issues, but then from what I can see this isn't designed to resolve problems. but supposedly enhance what you already have.

just wondering if anyone has any experience of them on a mini

Quarry Bonk

Nobody else has them fitted even under silly boost, wouldn't bother myself. Extra weight too!

Most modern systems are very powerful as they are.

Unless you're at the far end of 30psi boost and exeriencing ignition problems...save your money
