Ok, cars up and running. The gearbox works fine, when engines not running. However whilst driving, 2nd to 3rd seems to get stuck and doesn't move left to right through the gate without force. . Not sure if it's the clutch dragging or something else?

Roll pin is fine. Just been out to a local car meet, and is seems to be getting alot better, only about 20% of the time now.

Just race my mate really hard, now it's smoking at idle big time.

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.
VEMS + 12 PSI + Liquid Intercooler = Small Bore FUN!

The bush is very possibly coming out of the reverse gear idler and jamming the selectors.

I've just stripped the box from my old Metro and the symptons were identical.

Metric is for people who can't do fractions.

Great! This is doing my head in!

Just restarted the car, and it's not smoking now. Oil temp did get to 112oC and it was parked down hill if that makes any difference.

when I asked millers they said to change the oil if it had gone over 110.

This has just happened to me on Saturday after showing a messer in an Audi 4.2 Quattro the back of the mini *Clapping*

Removed plugs and No3 was covered in oil, turned out that the valve stem seal had lifted. Clipped it back on with 2 slim drivers.

Hopefully its something that simple.
