Would a kent 276 be the right spec for a turbo 998? Spec is a 998 turbo 8.2:1 ratio gt17

You carry more risk of turning it into a complete dog by opting for a large cam, than what you'd ever sacrifice by staying mild.

MG or SW5 would be sensible.

speed didn't kill me, but taxation probably will

The Kent 274 is an excellent cam for a 998 turbo. I wouldn't use any other off-the-shelf cam.

276 is pushing it on a 1275 round town. I've got a lot of friends who are swearing by the SW5 for torque

if its anything ive chosen MD274 as Paul suggested for my 1150 build it made grate low end on his 998 but it also had a fancy intake i believe

That does not seem logical to me. In an aseries the big port does not do much ( and that is provided the shape is good to begin with ) unless you lift the crap out of the valve ( which is hard to do with a sane duration cam without breaking stuff).

That sir, is not rust, it is the progressive mass reduction system
