trying to get a few more bannanas out of the 1380, as she only has 136 bhp on 15 psi, ive now swapped back to 1.5 rockers from standard which has helped, but both the inlet and exhaust prots has just the boss cleaned out and then the throats has just been cleaned as well as the ports so they are near standard size.

just wondering for a 1380 that the exhaust ports needs opening right out but how far should i go. my NA head was right out to the gasket line should i do the same as i feel this could be a big hold point for the gases.

she is running on 36 inlets 29.3 exhausts.

any advice would be appriciated

always looking for them bigger bunches of bannanas

Look at the restriction in your turbine housing or exhaust manifold for the answer...
Your lack of bananas for that boost lies elsewhere... Jimster is in a similar boat - out engines are near identical, yet his doesn't pull as well as mine for sure....

YOU COULD BE WRITE THERE OLD BOY T3TONE HAS A LARGER EXHAUST TURBINE HOUSING THAN MINE, AS MINE IS TOTALY STANDARD EXCEPT WHO EVER YOU GOT IT OFF HAD DONE THE HARD WORK AND FLOWED THE END OF THE MANIFOLD TO MATCH THE HEAD.

MINE IS 30 BANANS SHORT OF T3TONES, THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS CAMS AND TURBO AND IM RUNNING 3 PSI MORE.

BUT WILLIE IS GOING TO CALIBRATE MY CHEAP BOOST GAUGE WITH HIS AS WE HIS IS SPOT ON.

t3tone a kent 276, mine same as willie.

but talked to willie tonight and my exh ar is 2.5 and tones is 3.6 i think ( im getting a bit pissed now to much red wine and 10 year old port).

which could be a major factor in a 1380 what do you recon.

Well, it'll make a difference, but not that much - then again, you're going to be overspeeding big time with a 1380, so maybe it's ALL working against you.
Does Tony have an internal bonnet release? If not, go and borrow his turbo for a test run *wink*

bloddy good idea td, ill swap it he wont no lol.

the thing is with 1380,s every one runs 1293 which i think is a slightly different ball game to 1380 as you will need extra breathing in all areas due to more cfm required for the extra cc's per hp produced.
