Not sure if I've just got some poor quality ones, but a few of the studs on my Mini rear hubs have stripped.

Upgraded are unecessary, youve just done yours up too tight I seriously doubt it! |

I've snapped hundreds over the years, sleeved nuts are the worst. Now stick to 63Nm and I've never broken another.

the design shows a distinct lack of imagination, talk about starting off with a clean sheet of paper, then not bothering to fucking draw on it,lol On 20th Apr, 2012 Paul S said:

Ive heard of cheap shitty pattern studs stripping, but good genuine ones shouldnt do this as Wil says.

Ti ones will be nigh on impossible to find. They'd have to be forged which not a lot of people do and the benefit would be minimal |

As long you have a decent set of wheel nuts as well you shouldn't have a problem when tightening them to 63nm.

Swiftune ones are stronger, but the most important thing is to use a torque wrench as mentioned... On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:

Or going to the usual workshop method of 90nm is going to snap or strip them off eventually. On 26th Jan, 2012 Tom Fenton said:

The Swiftune ones look good, albeit a bit expensive at £7.50 or something each. I always use a torque wrench and lower torque than standard wheel nuts, so I suspect I had some sub-standard studs. |

So what you're saying is that you're OK with cheap bolts that break then
