Bit more progress, the RTS clutch arrived on Friday, so will get the flywheel built up and fitted tomorrow. Top work, thanks Sprocket!

Also the turbo is currently being rebuilt by midland turbos. Thought I might as well get it done, no point fitting a second hand, probably smokey turbo to a brand new engine :). That'll be back Monday!

cant have those pumps plumbed like that bud, they need a fat gravity feed, itll give you issues, and pumps capable of very high pressure, id be concerned about that clear filter bursting ifsomething caused a restriction in the fuel line :)

I bought a sytec high flow proper jobby fuel filter to replace that one with, because I thought the same :).

Right, that's not good. What about if I refitted the Spi pump to feed the bigger pump, would that work? Thanks for the heads up though, I'd hate to be having issues at the rolling road :(.

yes it would, would be overkill but a lift and inline pump is a common setup on cars that require mega fuel pressure.

Why not just replace the in tank pump with a walbro 255 or similar in tank pump?

Looking back I should have done andy.. I'll see if I can get the Spi pump back in. I removed all the gubbins out of the pump unit, and replaced it with some fuel hose to the bottom of the tank.

Sprocket built the RTS taz.

or an mpi pump, or any other in tank replacement, my mpi pump cost me £40 I think and is more than up to the job at hand.
