easy to replace, mines gone thats what killed my clutch at avon, i have a spare one in the garage but have never changed it in situ

Not too bad at all, a trick if you can't get it out, is to remove the c-clip that retains the primary gear, and then pull on the primary gear itself to pull the seal out.
Other than that there is the usual method of drill a small hole in the seal, then screw a self tapper into it so you can use a pair of pliers to grip the screw and pull it out.
I am sure you won't struggle much to do it, the tricky bit is making sure you don't damage the lip on the new seal when pushing it into the housing!

i have an original austin tool for re installing

cheers for the reply when my finger goes down a bit ill go whip it out ... the seal i mean
