Got hold of a new cinq rad and I see some of you have them fitted with removable fronts and no inner wings with brace bars, have you just made brackets up off the brace bars to fit? If so have you got any pictures?
Thanks in advance!

The plastic lugs for the original rad fan tap to M6 nicely.

Mine fits with steel non removable round nose front. The support bar thing in the middle has to go before it remotely looks like fitting. A bit of the front panel needs cutting out, grill fits in normal position.

If you're not in too much of a hurry, I'm currently developing a set of brace bars with fiat cinq rad brackets mounted to them. They are 95% done, I'm just in the process off getting prices for waterjet cutting of the rad mount brackets.

Give it a couple of years and everything will be available off the shelf to turbo a mini thanks to matty. 😃

Hmm that could be interesting, are they flat box section brace bars? Would be nice just to get the brackets and weld them on as I'm going to want to position the rad as low as possible as there will be a cossie cooler going above it :)

a one piece bracket off the brace bar, out from one side, across above the rad then back to the other side. It clamps on using exhaust clamps (my brace bar is a one piece tubular home made job so having exhaust clamps welded to the ends of my bracket make it dead easy to remove from the brace bar).
Intercooler mounts on top of the bracket.

they are made out of oval section stainless, and run from the shock mounts to front of subframe. i'll get a picture of mine that are tacked up later.

im currently making a jig from my old bars, and sorting out a tidy way of clamping the rad in place.

That sounds like a good idea Rod, was also thinking of how to mount the cooler too as it's a heavy beast. Might have to get creative with some box section at some point.

This is an old pic of how I did mine, but I'm remaking them now as these ones we're only a temporary thing, but ended up staying there! Lol

These are the new standard bace bars, tacked up for now. But I'll also be making them with rad mount as above.
