Turbo Tim,,,one is the turbo charged BMW motorbike twin cam head & the other mini is an all alloy Leyland P76 V8 with turbo charger *smiley* Totally Nutso hey? *smiley*

Jimster,,,thanks man & dito to your stuff brother , cheers & good ti here from you again ,How`s your beast goin???

Dangerous,,,you got it right , amongst 10 million other dam mini projects *smiley*

FastCarl,,,yep, only the wiring to do,,, (NOT) *smiley* I wish *smiley* But they are both in their very last stages of sorting now,,,maybe ready to run in a few more years *smiley* Might have to talk to you about some titanium stuff for my Down Hill mountain bike tho ,,,seriously! ,,,I race the dam thing all over the country & i`m sick of it being like lead to throw around,,,they`re all like lead really, so i might have an advantage if you send me some yummy light stuff *smiley* probly help the v8 mini a bit too *smiley*

mini1071s,,,yeah Bimmer is nearly a runner & is allready T28 turbo & Autronic engine management system, no expense spared on this baby *smiley* you`d be able to say that i spent all my hard earned cash on her, that makes a total of about $10,000 so far *frown* sill another $5000 odd to spend on the body etc *frown* Its only money hey? *smiley*

& Fab, good to talk to you again,,,I`m using the porsche/golf timing belt,,,& this engine is the little 1360, i sold all the guts of that 1415 that i was gonna use & decided on the stronger std/std large journal crank & spanky rods etc...I`m using my dad`s designed 73mm pistons, havn`t busted any yet so maybe these will be the first to melt down *smiley* i lopped 2.5mm off the top of em all for valve clearances & comp ratio adjust, worked a treat *smiley*

I have another bimmer headed engine i`m building also, 1170cc baby screamer , large journal 1071 crank from Jai & spanky long, big $ rods (ouch!!!) & will spin it to 10,000 with about 25psi & if it goes BANG, then i`ll re-build it & turn it down a couple of pounds *smiley*

good to see this forum is strong, will pop back a bit more often with some more recent pics if i can get my website updated *frown*

cheers all

Matt - I really can't believe that head is sat on a block, on a gearbox, in a mini - complete with inlet and cam drives!!!!

About f**king time! LOL!

I have a sneaky feeling that Carl might be happy to cut a deal on some titanium bits in return for some more info on the head and associated parafanalia (sp)....

& yeah i was thinking that Carl might be interested in a twinni Binni headed Minni *smiley* Now that would be some serious fast stuff hey? Just like buying a box of traction & a bottle of power *smiley* You could call the entire conversion -->a bottle of "Fix your car" *smiley*

*smiley*

cheers man
